Many celebrities have emerged in Nigeria’s entertainment industry through reality TV shows.
Among these shows include Project Fame West Africa, Big Brother Naija, Nigerian Idol, The Voice Nigeria, Peak Talent Hunt Show.
From these shows and a host of others some celebrities who emerged from them have become household names and celebrated stars among Nigerians and beyond.

1. Ebuka Obi-uchendu
Ebuka is a Nigerian lawyer and media personality. He was one of the 2006 Big Brother Nigeria housemates.
Though Ebuka finished the show in the eighth position, he has, however, remained one of the most successful housemates of that set.
The father of two is known for hosting the most-watched reality TV show, Big Brother Naija; he also hosts ‘Rubbin Minds’ talk show on Channels TV and another reality TV legal series called ‘Judging Matters’.
Ebuka is an amazing personality and a fashionista.
2. Timi Dakolo
Timi is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music producer who rose to fame after emerging as the winner of West African Idol in 2007. Also, he got a recording contract with Sony BMG, in addition to other prizes.
Timi is a talented and an award-winning singer.
3. Yemi Alade
Yemi Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer, songwriter and coach, she came into the limelight in 2009 after winning the Peak Talent Show.
She is best known for her hit single “Johnny” .Yemi has gained prominence in the music industry and she is considered as one of the biggest artists in Africa.
She is a great singer and talented dancer.
4. Uti Nwachukwu
Uti Nwachukwu is a TV host, and actor. He came to the limelight after emerging as the winner of Big Brother Africa season 5 in 2010.

5.Darey Art Alade
Dare Art Alade is an award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, philanthropist and entrepreneur.
The father of two rose to fame after he participated in the 2004 edition of Project Fame Academy, where he emerged third in the contest.
His father is a legendary jazz singer Art Alade. Darey started singing at a very young age. He has worked as a coach, judge, and television host for different brands which include Nigerian Idol, Project Fame West Africa, The Voice Nigeria, etc.
6.Omawunmi Megbele
Omawumi Megbele is a singer, songwriter and an actress. She got prominence after contesting in the first edition of West African Idols music competition in 2007, where she emerged as the first runner-up.
The mother of two is a law graduate, and has sung with a lot of amazing singers.
7. Iyanya
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, fondly called Iyanya, is a singer. He came to the limelight after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa.
The talented singer is best known for his hit single ‘Kukere’.
8. Chidinma Ekile
Chidinma is a talented singer and songwriter ans came to the limelight after winning the third season of MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2010.
She is a secular musician but switched to gospel music a few months ago.
9. Bisola Aiyeola
Bisola is an amazing actress and a sonorous singer and was one of the contestants of MTN Project Fame West Africa in 2008, where she came 5th.
The mother of one was one of the 2017 series of Big Brother Naija where she was the first runner up.
10. Mercy Eke
Mercy is a Reality Tv star, actress, video vixen and an entrepreneur. She is the first female to ever win the most-watched reality Tv show, Big Brother Naija.
She became a household name after winning the show.
11. Tacha
Anita Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha or Simply Tacha, was one of The 2019 BBN housemates.
Though she was evicted out of the show, she has remained a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry. Tacha is a social media influencer and an entrepreneur.
12.Laycon
Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe, fondly called Laycon, is a reality TV star, a singer, rapper, and a songwriter.
The philosophy graduate started singing at a very tender age but came to the limelight after winning the BBN season 5, the lockdown edition.
After his win, the Ogun State Governor appointed him as the youth Ambassador for Ogun State; he also received a chieftaincy title from the Onipokia of Ipokia in Ogun State, as the Akeweje of Ipokia Kingdom.1
13.Ayoola Ayoola
The singer and actor was a contestant of West Africa Project Fame fifth edition in 2012, which he won. He, however, quitted music for acting in 2015 and has been doing great ever since.
