National President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Ambali Olatunji, on Tuesday, raised the alarm that Nigeria is drifting towards collapse.
He also lamented that the country is no longer what the citizens had always dreamt of.
Speaking at the 7th State Quadrennial Inauguration of the newly elected Executives to run the affairs of NULGE in Kogi State, Olatunji warned that Nigeria had got to the precipice and tottering dangerously now.
The NULGE president stated that Nigeria was drifting due to bad leadership, adding that the last four years had shown that there was virtually no one holding the reins of governance in Nigeria with the country itself drifting out of control.
“This is not the Buhari Nigerians voted. Nigerians should pray, rise to the occasion to elect credible leaders in 2023. The President has failed to provide solution to the nation’s insecurity,” Olatunji said.
He expressed regret that Nigeria is assailed by the worst form of insecurity, adding that the Federal Capital Territory is now shamelessly vulnerable to insurgents.
The NULGE president urged the Minister of Finance and the Central Bank Governor to “with immediate effect resign from office” having failed in their individual official responsibilities to halt the increasing exchange rate.
