Nigerian singer Mr. May D has sparked controversy with a bold assertion about his Grammy-winning colleague, Wizkid.
According to him, Wizkid might not have reached his current heights if not for his fallout with his former record label, Square Records.
The claim emerged during a fiery exchange between May D and Wizkid’s fans on X, where he stated:
“If no be wetin happen between me and Psquare, who be Wiz [Wizkid]? Chai,” he wrote.
May D explained that the backlash began after he posted a message applauding Davido, which seemingly ruffled feathers among Wizkid’s fanbase.
“Because I spoke about David, Wizkid boys are attacking me Lmao. Even wiz know I love him, but if y’all come for me, I’ll finish all of you and your oga,” he said, standing his ground.
Doubling down, he issued a warning: “Even your Wizkid knows his limits! Don’t f*ck with me.”
The exchange has since ignited widespread discussions, with fans debating the validity of May D’s claims and the dynamics between these top Nigerian artists.
