Mathew Knowles Attributes Beyoncé’s CMA Snub to Racial Bias

Mathew Knowles, father of global pop sensation Beyoncé, has spoken out following the 2024 Country Music Awards nominations, where his daughter received no recognition.

Despite Beyoncé dominating the country charts with both the top song and album this year, she was noticeably absent from the list of nominees.

In his response, Knowles condemned the award organisers, accusing them of racial bias.

He argued that the nominations were not reflective of talent or accomplishments but instead driven by race.

“There’s more white people in America and unfortunately they don’t vote based on ability and achievements, it’s still sometimes a white and black thing,” Knowles told TMZ.

Beyoncé’s album, Cowboy Carter, which has garnered critical acclaim and topped the charts, remains the highest-selling country release of 2024.
