A yet-to-be-identified man has been sentenced to prison for illegally dumping refuse along the Lekki Expressway. He was arraigned on Tuesday before a Magistrate Court sitting in Oshodi, which found him guilty of environmental offences.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Tuesday.

The post reads: “Following the arrest of this suspect yesterday at Lekki Express way for dumping refuse on the road, he was arraigned today before the Magistrate Court sitting at Oshodi, found guilty and sentenced to 3 months in prison.”
