Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has declared that parting ways with her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, stands as the most pivotal choice of her life.
In a candid exchange on Instagram, she recounted the moment a fellow single mother sought her guidance, inquiring how she managed to thrive after her ex departed.
Dikeh clarified that it was she who chose to end the marriage, prioritizing the well-being of both herself and her son, rather than being abandoned.
“First and foremost, I was the one who chose to walk away from my marriage, not the other way around. I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just for my own sake, but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made,” Dike wrote.
She assured the woman that with dedication to personal growth and self-investment, she holds the power to become the person she dreams of being.
While sharing the message on her Instagram handle she wrote: “Dear single mothers, I don’t have a manual for these things. I am neither a pro in this movement.
“My biggest teacher has been love. I just let God do his thing, and his thing is enough for me. Draw strength from God, most especially keep your family matters private.”
Recall that In 2017, Tonto Dikeh’s marriage to Churchill unraveled amidst accusations of infidelity and domestic violence.
The union, which brought a son into the world, ended in a dramatic split.
Even after their divorce, the exes continue their online feud, with Tonto branding Churchill as a negligent father.
Churchill, however, counters with allegations that it was Tonto who obstructed his access to their child.
