The Lagos State Government is set to launch its highly anticipated 72-hour non-stop shopping festival today (Monday) at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The Lagos State Shopping Festival, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture in collaboration with Chain Reaction Ltd, promises an exciting shopping experience for both locals and tourists.
In a statement released on Sunday, Mr. Idris Aregbe, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, announced that the festival will feature over 500 vendors, representing a vibrant mix of local artisans and internationally renowned brands.
The festival will offer a diverse selection of products, including fashion, electronics, beauty items, home decor, gourmet food, and more.
Aregbe emphasized that the event is designed to cater to various shopping needs, whether it’s for the perfect holiday gift, the latest gadgets, or unique fashion finds.
“The Lagos Shopping Festival will play a pivotal role in promoting the fashion and retail sectors, celebrating both the latest trends and the artistry of local artisans,” Aregbe said.
“We aim to connect small businesses and established brands to global markets while using entertainment and music to drive trade.”
Beyond shopping, the festival will feature live performances, entertainment, food stalls, and an overall exciting atmosphere.
It will not only showcase Lagos’ vibrant culture and creativity but also celebrate its growing commerce sector.
Aregbe noted that the festival is an exceptional opportunity to elevate Lagos as a major shopping destination in the region.
“This is more than just a shopping event; it’s a celebration of Lagos State’s dynamic spirit,” Aregbe added.
With its unique blend of culture, commerce, and entertainment, the Lagos Shopping Festival promises to be a must-attend event for anyone seeking an unforgettable shopping experience.
