Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce have arrested 15 suspected drug abusers in the Agege axis of the state.
The arrests were made during a clean-up enforcement operation in the Isale-Oja and AP Roundabout areas of Agege.
The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Thursday.
According to Wahab, the raid led to the arrest of 15 male suspects, while a significant quantity of substances suspected to be various types of illicit drugs was recovered from the scene.
The post read, “In continuation of the clean-up enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Lagos State Environmental Taskforce, at about 6 pm on Monday, 12th May, 2025, embarked on its ongoing clean-up enforcement operation in Agege area.

“The areas visited during the operation include: Isale-Oja, AP Roundabout in Agege areas, where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed.
“During the raid exercise, a total of 15 male suspects were arrested, and a reasonable quantity of substances suspected to be drugs of different types was recovered from the scene.
“All the Suspects will be charged in court accordingly.”
