Kidnappers have killed three abducted siblings and a motorcycle rider after collecting N60million ransom from the siblings’ father in Taraba State.
The incident occurred at a forest near Garin Dogo in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State on Sunday.
The kidnappers abducted the three brothers at Garin Dogo and demanded N100m ransom.
The father of the three young men, one Alhaji Musa, a cattle dealer, was said to have negotiated with the kidnappers.
The kidnappers were said to have agreed on collecting N60m ransom before releasing the three siblings. The motorcycle rider was also said to have been hired to deliver the ransom to the abductors at a forest near the village.
But after collecting the ransom, the kidnappers killed the four of them.
The three brothers and the motorcycle rider were buried on Monday in the village.
Meanwhile, troops of the Nigerian Army, on Sunday, gunned down five suspected kidnappers at Maisamari town in Sardauna Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, alleged to be behind the kidnappings in the area, suffered their fate while trying to kidnap a cattle dealer in the area.
State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the two incidents.
