A beautiful lady, Fatima Muazu Mayana, wants to break the jinx in Zamfara State by contesting to be elected a member of the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in the Gusau/ Tsafe constituency of Zamfara State.
According to the graduate of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, “I was born into the family of Alhaji Muazu Mayana of Gusau in Zamfara State on the 3rd of March 1982.
“The Mayana family has been the largest family in Zamfara State, being a royal family of Gusau Emirate. Mayana was a title given to my great grand parents for bravery, which spans over 300 years.
“I was enrolled in Islamiya between 1989-1995. I was a pupil at Ibrahim Gusau Model Primary School, Gusau. Between, 2002-2008, I was a student of Nana Girls Secondary School, Sokoto. I read Business Administration at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between the year 2009-2015, when I graduated.”
According to her, even though she was born with silver spoon and was referred to as the most beautiful girl on campus, that didn’t sway her to becoming indifferent to people.
Fatima Mayana said that she established Binta Mayana Foundation to cater for the less privileged in health intervention, education Women and youth Empowerment.
The politician, who is also the Gimbiya Mayana, literally meaning, “Regent of Mayana dynasty,” says, when elected, she would improve the life of the less privileged and enhance the living standards of the people.
On the conservative nature of her constituency, where male dominate the political scene, she said, “If supported to represent the good people of Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency, I will make sure I deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of my constituency and beyond”.
