The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled the registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin on Monday, February 3, instead of the previously announced January 31.
JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announced the adjustment in a statement on Friday, citing the need for crucial changes to the registration process.
“These adjustments came in light of the recent suspension of certain law programmes at selected universities, as submitted to the Board by the Council for Legal Education,” he said.
He also revealed that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had gained approval using deceptive means, prompting JAMB to carry out further scrutiny and disqualify such centres.
“The Board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience,” Benjamin stated.
He assured that the extra time would be used to finalise all necessary modifications to ensure a seamless registration process.
