JAMB sets 140 as varsity cut-off mark, 100 for polytechnics

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum cut-off marks for admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education for the 2024 academic session.

JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed that the cut-off mark for universities is set at 140, while polytechnics and colleges of education will admit candidates who scored a minimum of 100.

This decision was unveiled during the 2024 Policy meeting of JAMB held in Abuja, which was attended by key stakeholders including the Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, vice-chancellors, rectors, registrars of higher institutions, and other officials.
