Former Governor of Anambra State and 2023 presidential aspirants, Peter Obi has said that it’s time Nigeria went back to productivity by engaging and investing in Nigeria youths, instead of borrowing and sharing.
Speaking in Kaduna at People Democratic Party, PDP, Secretariat on Monday, he said “the future of our children is in serious danger,” insisting that “we must go back to productivity because what we are sharing is finished, we must invest in our youths to be productive, because our children’s future is in danger.”
The presidential hopeful urged all delegates to help in building the future of “our children and should not allow money to influence their voting.”
“Do not say no to money because that money belong to you, when going to vote take your children picture along it will guide you against their future,” he said.
Peter Obi emphasised on the need to fight insecurity, and putting people out of poverty, which will reduce criminality by securing and equipping securities operatives with all the necessary equipment, “Our government only shared money instead of doing the right thing by investing in its people, putting them out of poverty,” he added.
He said Kaduna State, which used to be an agricultural state that can export farm produce to other parts of the country has become a security threatened state.
