Davido has opened up in a deeply personal moment about the overwhelming likeness between his twin son and his late child, Ifeanyi.
Speaking on Apple Music 1 with Ebro Darden, the music star didn’t hold back. He called the resemblance “scary,” describing how his newborn boy mirrors his late son so closely that it stirs emotions that words can hardly capture.
Ifeanyi, Davido’s first son with his wife, Chioma, tragically died by drowning on the 31st of October, 2022, at just three years old. Exactly a year later, in October 2023, the couple welcomed a new chapter twins born in the United States, a boy and a girl.

Still carrying the weight of loss, Davido admitted, “That type of loss made me be like, ‘I’m out’. I am just going to chill, take care of my wife and the family, and get my head right.”
But then came the unexpected blessing. “To come back from that and be blessed with twins just shows that God is real. And the boy looks just like my late son. It’s scary. It is like literally him. We are like, ‘No, it’s him. He came back.’”
