Renowned Yoruba actress, Dayo Amusa, has finally addressed the unrelenting curiosity surrounding the paternity of her newborn, Oluwafirewamiri.
The role interpreter who welcomed her first child in the United States just last week, has chosen to keep the father’s identity under wraps a decision that has set tongues wagging across social media.
Speculations about the father’s identity quickly gained traction, making Amusa the center of online debates.
However, during a TikTok live session, the actress didn’t shy away from confronting her critics head-on, delivering a sharp response: “I want to ask those asking about the father of my child if their husband is missing. Or did they find their husband inside my room? Because I honestly don’t understand why they are looking for the father of my child.”
Dayo went on to defend her right to privacy, emphasizing that the choice to keep her baby’s father undisclosed was to shield her peace from external negativity.
She made it clear that while a child’s birth is a result of a man-and-woman connection, she owed no one an explanation about her private affairs.
“A child is not a fruit that drops from heaven. It’s a man-and-a-woman connection that makes a child. It’s not compulsory to congratulate me on the birth of my child. If it’s not convenient for you, don’t bother yourself, and I won’t hold it against you because I am a happy person.”
With grace and candor, Dayo Amusa reaffirmed her happiness while reminding everyone that her joy and boundaries are hers to protect.
