To show their support for the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the general elections of 2023, citizens of Cross River State organised a two million-man march across the state’s major streets.
Danial Asuquo, a member of the National Assembly, who represents the Akamkpa Biase Federal Constituency and the Labour Party’s candidate for the Cross River South senatorial district, described Obi as the way to get Nigeria to its promised land.
Asuquo said that Obi is capable of changing the course of the nation by dealing with issues like insecurity and strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, among other things.
In addition to calling for an end to the era of vote buying, protest attendees chanted “Enough is Enough.”
