The Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba, has appointed Abiodun Alabi, as the new Lagos State Commissioner of Police.
The new commissioner is expected to take over from Hakeem Odumosu next week.
The development followed the promotion of Odumosu to the rank of Assistant-Inspector General, warranting his redeployment from the Lagos State Command.
Alabi served as the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police before his new appointment.
He had equally, previously served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force within and outside Nigeria, notably among United Nations Mission in Kosovo in 2001.
