KEHINDE FAJOBI
Embattled rapper, Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince has been remanded in prison and his trial stalled after the prosecution witnesses failed to show up.
The rapper is facing a three-count charge bordering on assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties, and abduction.
During the trial on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Ajah Magistrate Court, the prosecution’s lawyer asked the court to adjourn the case, citing the absence of his two witnesses.
Ice Prince’s lawyer, Folarin Dalmenida, however, presented the two sureties required as part of his bail conditions to the court
He had earlier been granted bail in the sum of N500,000 and asked him to provide “two responsible sureties”.
Pending when the prosecution witnesses would be present, Ice Prince’s will remain at the Ikoyi Correctional Facility as his sureties are examined by the court.
