Hunters kill kidnapper, rescue seven victims in Ondo

Seven people have been rescued in Ondo after a team that comprises hunters in Akunu Akoko community killed one of their kidnappers in a forest within the state.

The hunters launched a manhunt against some kidnappers following an order of the Regent of the town, Princess Tolani Orogun, on hearing that some travellers had been abducted.

Sources informed our correspondent that the kidnappers had abducted travellers heading towards Abuja and took them into the bush.

The news of the incident made the Regent to order the youths and the hunters to go after the kidnappers.

Police area commander for Ikare Akoko, ACP Razak Rauf, while confirming the development said  the body of the suspect has been deposited in the morgue.

It was learnt that several persons have been kidnapped along the Akunu, Ikakumo and Auga of Ondo State.
