Three more students of the Bethel Baptist Secondary school abducted from their school in Kaduna State on July 8, have been found.
The three of them were discovered were their abductors abandoned them at the Kankumi forest by troops.
Kankumi is in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Neither the police nor the school management has confirmed the development but local sources said that the three students had been rescued.
It was learnt that another set of bandits re-kidnapped the students from the bandits who initially abducted them from their school on July 8.
Local sources said that the second bandits renegotiated and collected a ransom from the parents of the three students before dumping them inside the forest where they were found by troops.
It was learnt that the military had debriefed the students and will be handing them over to the school authorities soon.
No less than 121 students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school were whisked away by bandits from their hotels on July 8. Their abductors later demanded a ransom of N60 million for the release of the students.
It is not yet clear why the students are being freed in small groups. However, speculations are that the parents of those who had been released so far must have paid ransom to the bandits.
Recall that 28 of the students, were also on July 25, found inside the Tsoho Gaya Forest in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
