Organisersof Grammy Awards have announced new date and venue for the 2022 edition.
According to The Recording Academy, the annual awards show will be held on April 3 in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Recall that The Recording Academy had on the 5th of January, 2022, postponed the awards ceremony, which was initially to hold on January 31 in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center).
The event was postponed due to the surge of the Omicron variant.
The development made it the second year in a row that the Grammy Awards was postponed due to the covid pandemic.
Last year it was scheduled for January 31, but was postponed due to the virus.
“Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is still scheduled to host the 2022 Grammy Awards.
In late November, The Recording Academy released the nominations list for the awards ceremony with Nigerian musician, Wizkid bagging two nominations for Essence and Made In Lagos album.
Femi and Made Kuti were also nominated under Best Global Music Album category.
