The Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) is holding its monthly meeting at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, joined by prominent traditional rulers from the National Council of Traditional Rulers.
Though the agenda hasn’t been disclosed, sources suggest that the governors and traditional leaders are discussing pressing issues across the country.
It was also gathered that the meeting aims to seek input from traditional leaders on current challenges and to explore policies that could address these concerns.
Notable attendees include NGF Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRazak (Kwara), as well as Governors Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), and Uba Sani (Kaduna).
Traditional rulers present include the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; and the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar.
