Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday signed into law the VAT Bill passed by the State House of Assembly.
According to a statement by the state Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, the governor signed the bill into law at about 11:45am, after returning from an official trip to Abuja.
Omotosho said that the governor signed the “bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services.”
With the development, the bill has now become a law in Lagos State.
