Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has breathed new life into his administration with a strategic reshuffle of the State Executive Council.
The announcement came via a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on the 6th of January, 2025, in Katsina.
As part of the changes, Alhaji Malik Anas, a newly appointed commissioner, has been entrusted with steering the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The CPS highlighted Anas’s impressive credentials, noting that he “holds a Masters in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano.”
Anas’s professional background is equally noteworthy. “He was equally a one-time Katsina State Accountant-General and member of different professional bodies, including Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Financial Reporting of Nigeria, among others,” Kaula-Mohammed added.
The reshuffle also saw Alhaji Bello Kagara, formerly in charge of Budget and Economic Planning, assume the role of Commissioner for Finance.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Bashir Tanimu, the erstwhile Commissioner for Finance, now oversees the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
In other adjustments, Alhaji Yusuf Rabi’u-Jirdede transitions from the Ministry of Special Duties to lead the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment. Conversely, Alhaji Adnan Nahabu moves from Commerce, Trade and Investment to take the helm at the Ministry of Special Duties.
Governor Radda, through the CPS, charged both the newly appointed and reassigned commissioners to uphold a commitment to exceptional service in their respective roles.
