Gov Diri inspects new commissioners, house of assembly quarters

In a bid to bolster infrastructure and provide better accommodation for government officials, the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of new quarters for commissioners and house of assembly members at the new Yenagoa city in Onopa.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, Governor Diri commended the contractors for their efforts and emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule.

“This development is crucial for the efficiency and comfort of our government officials. I am pleased with the pace of work and urge the contractors to maintain this momentum to ensure timely completion,” he stated.

Accompanying the governor on the inspection were Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure ESV Moses Teibowei, Commissioner for Lands and Survey Barr. Perepuighe Biewari, and other top government functionaries.

The visit highlighted the administration’s commitment to improving the living standards of its officials and enhancing the functionality of the government.

The new quarters in Yenagoa City are expected to provide state-of-the-art facilities, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to infrastructural development and the well-being of its officials.
