FIRS Opens Recruitment for Experienced Professionals

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially announced its recruitment drive for experienced professionals to fill various key positions across its departments.

This initiative, detailed in a public notice released on Monday, aims to bolster the agency’s operational efficiency by expanding its workforce.

The available positions include roles in tax investigation, legal services, public relations, ICT, and cybersecurity.

Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a second-class lower division or lower credit. Additionally, they must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme by December 31, 2017.

The FIRS stated that applicants must meet specific age criteria, with Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager candidates required to be under 40 years old, and Senior Manager and Assistant Director applicants limited to 45 years as of December 31, 2024.

A total of 14 roles are open, including Assistant Manager (Tax Investigation), Deputy Manager (Legal), and Assistant Manager (ICT), with salary levels ranging from grade 04 to 08.

Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, alongside a sound understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory frameworks.

Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official FIRS recruitment portal or via verified social media platforms.

The application process begins on December 23, 2024, and will close on January 11, 2025.

The FIRS management has encouraged eligible Nigerians to take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to public service and national development.
