The second edition of the prestigious Bayelsa Media Network Awards (BMNA) is set to give awards to outstanding personalities in Bayelsa State who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of endeavour in the country.
Those to be honoured are FIFA agent and Chief Executive Officer of Monimichelle Sports Facilities and Construction Limited, Mr Ebi Egbe; member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal Constituency, Mr Fred Agbedi; member representing Ogbia Federal Constituency, Fred Obuah; Pastor Perezige Ozegbe; member representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 2, Wisdom Fafi and Secretary of Bayelsa State Elders’ Council, Chief Thompson Okorotie.
Others are member representing Ogbia Constituency 1, Mitema Obordor; Chairman, Sagbama Local Government Area, Embeleakpo Alale; Hon. Gabriel Jonah, Mr. Christopher Ewhrudjakpo, Hon. T.K. Ogoriba, King Ogbo Bruce, Prof. Onyaye Kunle-Olowu, media practitioners, music artistes, businessmen, professionals and others.
Chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Victor Christopher, in a statement on Tuesday, said the event would be in honour of distinguished Bayelsans and Nigerians, who in his estimation are deserving of recognition in form of awards of excellence for the contributions they have made in their fields of endeavour, the development of their immediate localities, state and Nigeria.
The epoch award ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Nigeria Union of Journalists’ Secretariat, Ernest Ikoli Press Centre, Azikoro Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa.
Red carpet starts by 12noon while the main event will commence by 1pm.
