The Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Engr. Shehu Ahmad, has been suspended indefinitely, according to a statement issued on Thursday by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The suspension takes immediate effect, and Engr. Ahmad has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to the Director of Engineering Services in the FCDA.
The statement did not disclose the reason for Ahmad’s suspension, leaving room for speculation about the circumstances leading to this decision.
This development marks another significant administrative change under Minister Wike’s leadership, as he continues to oversee operations in the nation’s capital.
Observers are keenly watching for further details or clarification from the ministry regarding the suspension.
Ahmad’s indefinite suspension raises questions about the state of affairs within the FCDA, an agency pivotal to the development and management of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
