A former Minister of Aviation and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Fani-Kayode has taken a swipe at the Zamfara State Deputy Governor for refusing to defect to the All Progressives Congress with his boss.
The Deputy Governor, Mahdi Aliyu Muhammad Gusau, insisted not to join the state governor, Bello Matawalle, to defect to the APC.
He also decried a plan to impeach him over his decision.
But reacting to the development, the former minister, on Tuesday carpeted the deputy governor, accusing him of betraying the state governor.
“When a Governor decamps from one party to another shouldn’t his Deputy go with him? Is that not what loyalty is all about?
“Against his better judgement @Bellomatawalle1 picked you as his running mate & made you Deputy Governor & now you undermine & betray him? Shame on you!” Fani-Kayode said in a tweeted message.
