Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Aisha Falode has expressed great delight for the support and mobilization received for the new season.
The 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership season kicked off December 9 after it was suspended due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Falode in a ‘Thank You’ message made available by the NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Faith Ben, thanked all the FAs.
She also expressed her profound gratitude to the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for their support.
“We thank the Hon. Ministers of Youth and Sports and of Women Affairs respectively, Wives of Nasarawa State Governor and Deputy, also our partner: UN delegates for their representation at the opening match.
“Thank You.
“Many thanks to all FAs concerned for a good match organization, security/support accorded match officials and NWFL Premiership Clubs for their cooperation,” she said.
The Matchday 2 of the 2020/2021NWFL Premiership returns on Wednesday with defending champions, Rivers Angels hosting Delta Queens.
