Ezinne Kalu Signs with Atlanta Dream, Fulfills Long-Awaited WNBA Dream

After years of perseverance, Nigeria’s D’Tigress star, Ezinne Kalu, has finally achieved her dream of playing in the WNBA. The Atlanta Dream have signed the talented point guard to a seven-day hardship contract, marking her first opportunity to showcase her skills in the United States’ elite women’s basketball league.

Kalu, born to a Nigerian father and an American mother, was raised and educated in the United States. Despite her dual heritage, she chose to represent Nigeria at the international level, becoming a standout player for D’Tigress. Over the years, Kalu has been instrumental in Nigeria’s basketball success, helping the team secure multiple FIBA Africa Women’s Championship titles.
