After their humiliating 4-0 loss to Brentford last weekend, and dropping to bottom of the table, Manchester United have now won their first match of the season.
Goals courtesy of Jordan Sancho and Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United a win over Liverpool on Monday night.
There had been calls for Man U fans to boycott the match in protest to their loss against Brentford and the club’s decline over the last decade under the ownership of the Glazer’s family.
Although fans throng into the stadium in their numbers, there were chants of “we want Glazers out” throughout the 90 minutes even as Manchester United consoled their fans with goals.
The loss for Liverpool also casts doubt on their title defence but hope to make a comeback.
Manchester United have now moved up ahead of Liverpool on the table.
