Erling Haaland in Wednesday’s game against Nottingham Forest became the first Premier League player to score a hat-trick in the first half of a game.
The Norwegian also broke the record of the most Premier League goals in a month with nine goals scored.
As City thrashed Nottingham Forest, Haaland scored in the 12th, 33rd and 38th minute in the first half to achieve his second consecutive hat-trick of the season.
Goals from Joao Cancelo and a brace from Julian Alvarez in the second half completed the scoreline.
Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi, who came from the bench, could not do much to overturn City’s margin.
