England Thrash Ireland 5-0 to Seal Nations League Promotion

England delivered a stunning 5-0 win over a 10-man Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Sunday, securing promotion to the Nations League top flight.

The match was a memorable one as four players scored their first goals for the national team.

The game was also the final outing for interim manager Lee Carsley, who hands over to Thomas Tuchel.

After a quiet first half, England took control when Ireland’s Liam Scales was sent off for fouling Jude Bellingham in the box.

Harry Kane converted the resulting penalty to open the scoring in the 51st minute.

Anthony Gordon made it 2-0 shortly after, volleying in a deflected cross from Tino Livramento.

Just minutes later, Conor Gallagher scored from a Marc Guehi flick-on to extend the lead.

Substitutes added the final touches, with Jarrod Bowen scoring seconds after coming on and Taylor Harwood-Bellis heading in a Jude Bellingham cross to cap a dream debut.

England now look ahead to a new chapter under Tuchel, with a team brimming with young talent and confidence.
