Lagos State Government has said the recent protest created fear among police personnel, while urging residents of the state to cooperate and support them.
Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on the Central Business District, Mr Gbenga Oyerinde, spoke on Thursday at the three months’ coronation anniversary of the Onigbanko of Igbankoland, Oba Adeshina Bello.
He said, “The reason is that the crisis that came with #EndSARS created fear in them and we are appealing to the citizens of Lagos State to please cooperate and work with them. We need to give them courage and confidence. Some of them lost their lives during the crisis. We need to let them know we appreciate them.”
The monarch in his remarks advised the government and citizens to see each other as partners in moving the state forward.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government on Friday commiserated with the family of the late Bishop Olusola Ore, who was the Chairman of the Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria in the state and the Christians Pilgrims Welfare Board.
According to a statement, the Commissioner, Ministry of Home Affairs, Anofiu Elegushi, spoke during a condolence visit to the home of the deceased who died on Monday.
