The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Police Command, Mr Ben Okolo, has promised the citizens of the state of adequate security during and after the celebration of Eid-el Kabir.
The commissioner, therefore, ordered the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), tactical commanders, intelligence operatives and other operational operatives to secure worship centres, public parks and other recreational centres to ensure hitch-free celebrations.
Okolo also warned miscreants, thugs and other criminals to desist from any acts capable of disrupting the celebrations.
The CP felicitated with the Muslim faithful and enjoined them to celebrate with modesty as exemplified in the Holy Quran.
Okolo said, “The command hereby warns miscreants, thugs and criminals to desist from engaging in any act capable of disrupting the celebrations.
“The command is poised to deal decisively with any person or group of persons who are out to foment trouble.”
