…sue for religious tolerance
An aspirant for the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Comrade Safiu Abayomi Adegoke (Yomex), has felicitated both Muslims and non-Muslims faithful in his Federal Constituency comprising Boripe, Ifelodun and Odo-Otin Local Government Areas of the state on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, suing for religious tolerance among the people living in the Constituency.
Adegoke, who is a former aide to former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola on Millenium Development Goals(MDGs), urged the Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons and teachings of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) during the 30 days of the just concluded Ramadan fasting by continuing to purify their heart with Godly actions for the rest of their lives.
In a Sallah message to the good people of the Federal Constituency and the entire people of the state, he urged the people to use this period of festive season to seek the face of God to solve all the challenges facing the country.
Adegoke, who was recently issued Clearance Certificate to contest for the Reps seat in the Federal Constituency by the National Screening Committee of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), preached peaceful co-existence among the people of the state, particularly the people of his Federal Constituency.
He urged them to live in peace with one another because any society with peace could experience unprecedented development.
The financial cum project development expert turned politician used the opportunity to seek for the total support of his people and especially the delegates from the three (3) Local Government Areas of his Federal Constituency, to vote emasse for him during the forthcoming PDP primary to choose the flag bearer of the party (PDP) for the Reps seat in the Federal Constituency during the forthcoming 2003 general elections.
Adegoke prayed for the people of his constituency and Osun State in general to witness more of Eid-el-fitri in their life times.
