The Department of State Security Service (DSS) has denied any involvement in the raid on the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday night.
According to a brief statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the DSS clarified that it did not conduct any operations at the NLC office.
This comes amid reports from the NLC, which claimed that the raid was executed by “heavily armed” security operatives, some of whom were in plain clothes. The NLC had suggested that these operatives might have been DSS personnel.
As of the time of this report, the police have yet to comment on the incident.
