Mavin CEO, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has responded to Davido’s compliments, where he referred to him as his mentor.
Davido is a well-known Afrobeats musician. He talked about his rise in the music business and his run-in with Don Jazzy in an interview with YouTuber Tayo Aina.
The ‘Unavailable Crooner’’ said it takes guts to stand in Don Jazzy’s presence during their first meeting when speaking about his experience.
“Don Jazzy was my mentor. I remember the first time I saw him, it felt like I was looking at Jesus. It was truly amazing.” He said.
While posting the video of the interview on his Instagram page, Don Jazzy wrote: “And that’s how life is @davido Now I look at all you have achieved and I’m super proud of you. Even with all that success and wealth I look at your work ethic and I am highly motivated. I’m glad that as a mentor I haven’t let you down too. We thank GOD. More blessings bro.”
