Devastating Israeli Airstrike Claims 10 Lives in Southern Gaza

In a devastating Israeli airstrike early Thursday, at least 10 Palestinians, including women and children, lost their lives in a tent encampment that housed displaced families in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medics revealed that the attack targeted a tent in Al-Mawasi, a designated humanitarian area in western Khan Younis, leaving 15 others wounded.

The Israeli military has not yet issued a statement on the incident.

Hamas-run Al-Aqsa TV reported that the airstrike also claimed the lives of Mahmoud Salah, the Director-General of Gaza’s police department, and his aide, Hussam Shahwan.

Health officials in Gaza disclosed staggering figures, stating that over 45,500 Palestinians have been killed since the conflict began. The war has left most of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents displaced and much of the territory in ruins.

The conflict traces back to Hamas’ attack on Israel on the 7th of October, 2023, which resulted in 1,200 deaths and 251 hostages taken into Gaza, according to Israeli sources.
