A tragic late-night inferno has ravaged sections of the popular Bayan Tasha market in Damaturu, leaving shops and goods worth millions of Naira in ruins.
The exact cause of the devastating blaze remains unclear. However, it was brought under control by the combined efforts of firefighters and courageous Good Samaritans who worked tirelessly to prevent further destruction.
Although no lives were reported lost, the fire inflicted immeasurable losses, reducing valuable goods and personal belongings to ashes.
Reacting to the heartbreaking incident, Mustapha Mohammed Gujba, a Damaturu resident, shared his thoughts on Facebook: “Today, we have received news of a fire outbreak at the market behind the motor park in Damaturu town.
“To those affected by this incident, we pray that Allah grants you comfort and replaces what you have lost with something better.”
