Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again taken a significant step towards alleviating economic pressures in Nigeria by further reducing the prices of diesel and aviation fuel.
The latest price adjustments set diesel at N940 per litre and aviation fuel at N980 per litre, following a recent price reduction to N1,000 just two weeks prior.
The new pricing structure offers N940 per litre for customers purchasing five million litres and above, while those buying one million litres and above will benefit from a rate of N970 per litre.
Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Head of Communication at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, emphasized the company’s commitment to easing the economic burden on Nigerians. He announced a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations to ensure affordable fuel prices nationwide, including major airports where MRS operates.
Chiejina stated, “The Dangote Group is committed to ensuring that Nigerians have better welfare and as such, we are happy to announce these new prices and hope that it would go a long way to cushion the effect of economic challenges in the country.”
This latest reduction marks the third significant decrease in diesel prices within three weeks, with prices plummeting from N1,700 to N1,000 and now to N940 per litre. Similarly, aviation fuel has seen a reduction from N1,200 to N980 per litre.
President Bola Tinubu commended Dangote for the initial price reduction, acknowledging it as a commendable feat.
With these ongoing efforts, Dangote Petroleum Refinery aims to foster economic stability and drive growth across key sectors, ultimately improving the welfare of Nigerians amidst challenging economic conditions.
