The Dangote Petroleum Refijnery has reduced its ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre.

This was announced in a statement on Sunday by the refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.

Chiejina described the reduction from the previous price of ₦990 as a gesture of gratitude to Nigerians for their “unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true.”

He added, “In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being.”

The statement assured that the refinery would maintain high-quality standards for its products.

“While the refinery would not compromise on the quality of its petroleum products, we assure you of best quality products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.”

Chiejina also reiterated the refinery’s commitment to increasing production to meet and exceed Nigeria’s domestic fuel needs.

“We are determined to keep ramping up production to meet and surpass our domestic fuel consumption; thus, dispelling any fear of a shortfall in supply,” he said.

The new price adjustment is expected to save marketers approximately ₦20 per litre when sourcing fuel from the Lekki-based facility.
