Daddy Freeze Criticises 2Face’s Apology

Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, fondly called Daddy Freeze, has weighed in on singer 2Face’s recent public apology over a comment many found controversial.

The singer had claimed men are not naturally wired for sexual fidelity, sparking backlash online.

Reacting in a video shared on TikTok, Daddy Freeze said the apology came off as exaggerated.

In his view, a brief one-liner would have been enough. He went further to suggest that 2Face’s behaviour no longer feels like his own, hinting that the singer might be under someone’s control.

He didn’t hold back, admitting that the current version of 2Face no longer appeals to him or some other longtime fans. In a sarcastic tone, he pleaded with an unidentified person he referred to as “Jebeto” to stop influencing the singer.

“2Baba, what is this? What do you want to turn 2Baba to for us? Do2dtun was right, we don’t like this 2Face that we are seeing. E be like say Jebeto don dey control Pinopi o!” he said in the video.

Freeze also addressed why he chose to speak publicly rather than reach out to the singer in private.

“Some people will say why didn’t I reach 2Face privately, we’ve tried to convene a meeting with him three times and he refused to show up. So, I cannot watch somebody I know and love continue to depreciate like this and keep quiet,” he explained.

He criticised the singer’s approach to apologising, pointing out that the wording didn’t match his status.

“Alright, you said something that didn’t make sense, apologise you’ve legend status, a one-line apology. Which one is, ‘I fk up, I fk up’? You are not a child, 2Baba.”

Daddy Freeze closed his remarks with a direct plea: “And please, I want to use this as an opportunity to beg, Jebeto, please, help us leave Pinopi o! Allegedly.”
