Russian Premier League side, CSKA Moscow and rival Turkish giants, Galatasaray, are in hot chase for Nigeria international, Henry Onyekuru, according to reports.
MilliGazete claims that Galatasaray are in pole position to sign the Monaco winger but face competition from CSKA Moscow.
The Lions are in the market for a winger ahead of the reopening of the transfer window and the Super Eagle has emerged as a priority for manager Fatih Terim.
The report added that Onyekuru has informed Galatasaray chief Abdurrahim Albayrak that he wants to return to the Istanbul club, paving the way for his agent William D’Avila to begin contract talks with the Lions.
The former Eupen star has had two different loan spells with Galatasaray, scoring 17 goals in 57 appearances and won the Super Lig and Turkish Cup in his first full season with the club.
Onyekuru has been frozen out of the Monaco first team picture in the new season, making four appearances in the French Ligue 1, the last of which came against Stade Rennais on September 19.
The 23-year-old has a contract with the principality outfit until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
