Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said 53 new infection cases was registered on Thursday.
This means that Nigeria has now recorded a total of 212,947 COVID-19 infections.
The health agency made this known through its daily COVID-19 report on Friday morning.
According to the report, the 53 new cases were from seven states including the FCT.
“Lagos-19, Plateau-7, the FCT-7, Rivers-7, Imo-5, Kano-4, Zamfara-2, Bayelsa-1 and Gombe-1,” NCDC said.
It also confirmed 11 new deaths, which brings the total death toll in the country to 2 933.
“Total of 205,000 Nigerians had been discharged across the country,” the agency said.
