Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade still has till April 16 to know his fate on the suit by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, demanding for his sack as a governor for dumping the party and defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
This came as the Federal High Court in Abuja this Friday postponed its judgment on the matter.
Court had earlier fixed today (Friday) to deliver judgment on a suit filed by the PDP praying the court to declare Governor Ayade, and his deputy, Ivara Esu, vacant.
However, Justice Taiwo Taiwo, who is presiding over the matter, postponed ruling in the suit till April 6.
The judge did not adduce any reason why he postponed the verdict as he only notified the parties about the new date through the cause list.
FirstNews reported that Justice Taiwo had in a judgment on Monday sacked 20 lawmakers from Cross River State over their defection from the PDP to the APC.
The affected lawmakers comprised two members of the House of Representatives and 18 members of the Cross River State House of Assembly.
