As expected, Odunayo Adekuroye and Blessing Oborududu have won the gold medal in the women’s wrestling event at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Odunayo Adekuoroye who is also the 2018 Commonwealth champion claimed Nigeria’s sixth gold after beating Anshu Malik of India in the Women’s 57kg Freestyle Wrestling to defend her title.
Blessing Oborududu pushed up Nigeria’s gold medals to seven after defeating Linda Morais of Canada in the 68kg women’s category final.
Oborududu is now a two-time Commonwealth Games Champion after defending her 2018 gold medal title.
Nigeria has now won seven gold, two silvers and six bronze medals.
