In a recent development, Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has publicly dismissed rumors about a potential loan move for the Nigerian striker, following speculation linking him with Chelsea.
The statement comes amid reports suggesting that Napoli could be open to discussing Osimhen’s transfer as part of a swap deal involving Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.
In an official statement, Calenda emphasized the value of Osimhen, who was the top scorer in Napoli’s third Scudetto-winning season.
“I read about ‘fantasy swap deals’ involving Victor’s name as if he was a package to be delivered quickly,” Calenda said.
“I’d like to remind you that this ‘package’ is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!” he said
While Napoli has expressed openness to discussions about Osimhen’s future, Calenda’s statement clarifies that any such negotiations would not include a loan move.
The clarification aims to put an end to the ongoing speculation and underscore Osimhen’s importance to Napoli.
