The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has released the final shortlist for the women’s categories for the 2022 CAF Awards in Morocco.
Asisat Oshoala is the only Nigerian remaining in the Player of the Year category after goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and strikers Rasheedat Ajibade and Uchenna Kanu were dropped.
Gift Monday is still in contention for the Young Player of the Year category and Inter-Club Player of the Year while Flourish Sebastine is nominated in the Young Player of the Year alone.
Super Falcons Coach Randy Waldrum is nominated in the Coach of the Year Category while the Nigerian Women’s Professional Football League (NWPFL) side, Rivers Angel is in the Club of the Year category.
The 2022 CAF Awards will be held in Rabat, Morocco on July 21.
